Mothers Day Cards

I was asked by Craftwise magazine to submit some Mothers Day and Fathers Day cards for their next issue.. I asked the crafty ladies of the RSA group to submit cards to me as well and then sent them off to Craftwise. I hope they publish them all - they were all stunning and I think the editor would be hard pressed to chose only a few!

Here are the cards I made for the submission:

I didn't make any Father's Day cards for two reasons - I ran out of time and I'm not very good at men's cards for some reason.. too fond of bling I think lol! Maybe I'll find some time over the coming long weekends to play and manage to make a few male themed cards.

Anyway till next time, happy crafting!

I'm Back... at last!

Hi Everyone,
I'm back at last after a looooong time away from the blog.
I do envy those bloggers who find the time to create and post everyday...
Anyhoo, I've got a few pics of some things I've created lately as well as a link to a youtube video of the mini album page I made for the Graphic 45 Ladies Diary swap.

This was a card I made for a baby shower.. I used lots of die cuts for a frilly feminine feel.

This is a Pandora's Box... you can put little trinkets in it or gift it as a gift. The top pic shows it open and the bottom one closed with it's lid on. It's fairly simple to make, just time consuming.

I've been making a lot of intricate folded cards and off the page type projects - albums and mini books.  One of them was for an overseas swap group and I had to use G45 A Ladies Diary paper.
The link to view the video of my page and another participants page is:
and let me know what you think.

I did another G45 mini album swap in November - this time using the Olde Curiosity Shoppe papers. I'll take photo's and upload them next time.

Till next time, keep it crafty!
hugs
Hayley

DT Member

I am now a DigiStamps4Joy Design team member - yay for me!! And I get to play with their lovely digital images. This weeks challenge was a wedding theme but it had to be anything but a card. I made this vintage style tag that would be attached to guests party favour. I used JenLee's fabulous image of the freckle faced bridal couple. Its so cute!
I hope you like it.
Thats it for today....

Inspired

I'm back after a very long absence. I've had a bit of a mojo meltdown recently, hence no posts for ages, but I have been busy with some creative group challenges and swaps. I was inspired by a friend of mine, Jen, who has been very busy creating digi images and cards... and I decided I had to post some of the cards I made this weekend in a burst of creativity...

This was a gift bag that i made for a friend, Nishi. It was her birthday last week and we had High Teas at the Oyster Box Hotel yesterday afternoon. I made this gift box using a Beeno's box as a base. She loved it I'm happy to say.

This is a card I made using a digi image I downloaded free off the web. I loved the backgrouns paper and just had to make something with it.

This is my first attempt as using my sewing machine to stitch on a card. I've always liked the look of stitching on cards, but I have absolutely zero sewing skills and the family tend to duck and run when the old sewing machine comes out of hiding. It was quite hard to sew in a straight line with my temperamental old machine but the end result wasn't too bad.

I just love this little hippie girl digistamp and I combined it with a lattice background that I cut out using my Wishblade. It came out quite nicely in the end - good old 'Blue (my Wishblade).

I just love Tilda images... she's so cute - even with no mouth! I made this card to keep in a stash for emergencies - hence no sentiment on the front.

I'm planning to post these cards on CDAC and Paper Craft Planet as well.

Thats it from me today... I hope it won't be too long before I can scan and upload some more of the projects I've been working on.

Until next time,
Hugs
